Practice Focus
Performing joy offers healing from our addictive engagement with domination systems. We are not required to fight for our reality; we can just live it. We can be weird and whole and as shapeshifting as necessary, for we are being called to another purpose. We are being invited to awaken to our true nature as spirit beings, energy sharers, and prophets of potential.~ Dr Barbara A. Holmes.
Life circumstances like abandonment, hardships, mis-attuned / disrupted attachment, neglect, violation, narcissism, racism, oppression, sexual assault and intimate partner violence impact relating to ourselves, significant relationships and the world.
I am passionate about supporting precious humans who have experienced cumulative, adverse, repetitive, inequitable and fear-induced complex life traces. In these contexts, our neurobiological capacity for resilience, adapting to adversity and creatively bouncing back are interrupted by habitual coping methods. The adapted patterned ways are present now and embedded as untenable impressions.
Talk therapy (CBT), which focuses on top-down memory processing, behavioural strategies and meaning-making, splits the emotional and somatic impressions.
My practice nudges the living body and develops affirming trail by

~ Resourcing and emotionally tending to the impact of traumatic stress, imprinted as rumination, shame, guilt, and self-sabotage in the mind, body and spirit.
~ Listening deeply and sensitively responding to emotional distress, panic, pain, hypervigilance, emotional safety, unease and isolation towards ease and connection.
